I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the customary face-off, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
